  • 1/2 baguette

Ginger Sauce

  • 1 tsp ginger powder (or 1 Tbsp ginger juice)
  • 2 Tbsp grapeseed oil
  • 2 Tbsp sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 Tbsp oligodang (corn syrup)
  • 1 Tbsp dried parsley

Cooking Instructions

Step 1

First, slice the baguette into bite-sized pieces, about 2-3 cm thick. In a bowl, combine the ginger powder (or ginger juice), grapeseed oil, sweetened condensed milk, oligodang, and dried parsley. Whisk everything together until smooth and well combined to create your delicious ginger sauce. Ensure it’s thoroughly mixed for even spreading on the bread.

Step 2

Using a brush, generously spread the prepared ginger sauce over the sliced baguette pieces. Make sure to cover the top surface of the bread well so the sauce can soak in nicely. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper, place the sauced baguettes on top, and bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (350°F) for 8-10 minutes. Bake until the bread is golden brown and the sauce is slightly reduced.

Step 3

Voila! Freshly baked from the oven, your golden-brown and crispy Ginger Baguette is ready. The sweet yet subtle ginger aroma is truly inviting. It boasts a delightful crunch on the outside and a soft texture within, making it incredibly delicious. It’s best enjoyed warm right out of the oven. For an extra touch of sweetness, you can drizzle a little honey on top, or pair it with milk or coffee for a wonderful brunch treat.
