Nostalgic Pink Sausage Pancake
Taste That Evokes Childhood Memories! Simple Pink Sausage Pancake
Remember the pink sausage from school lunches or home-cooked meals? Sometimes, you just crave that taste from your childhood for no reason! Make this simple yet delicious pink sausage pancake that’s crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. It’s perfect as a side dish for rice or as a snack with drinks!
Main Ingredients- 1/2 pink sausage
- 1/3 green onion
- 2 eggs
Other Ingredients- A little cooking oil
- A little cooking oil
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
Slice the pink sausage into bite-sized pieces (about 0.5-1cm thick). We’re using half a sausage for this recipe. You can slice it thicker if you prefer.
Step 2
Finely chop the green onion. Crack 2 eggs into a bowl, add the chopped green onion, and whisk them together with chopsticks or a whisk until smooth. You can add a tiny pinch of salt to the egg mixture for seasoning, but it’s also fine to omit it considering the saltiness of the pink sausage itself.
Step 3
Heat a pan over medium-low heat and add a generous amount of cooking oil. Place the sliced pink sausage in the pan, then pour the whisked egg mixture over it. Tilting the pan so the egg mixture spreads thinly will make it look even more appetizing.
Step 4
Cook slowly over medium-low heat. Flip it occasionally until the sausage is golden brown and the egg is fully cooked. It’s especially delicious when the edges are crispy, so be careful with the heat to prevent burning. Cut the finished pink sausage pancake into serving pieces and enjoy while warm. It looks as good as it tastes, with a wonderfully savory and slightly sweet flavor!
