Easy and Delicious Homemade French Toast Recipe

Main Ingredients- Thick-cut bread slices (2-3 slices, thicker bread is recommended)
- 3 Eggs
- 100ml Milk
- 1-2 Tbsp Butter
- 1-2 Tbsp Sugar (adjust to taste)
- Pinch of Salt
- Powdered sugar (optional)
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, prepare your bread slices. You can cut them in half or quarters (typically into triangles) based on your preference. This makes them easier to dip and eat.

In a wide bowl, crack the 3 eggs. Add 1-2 tablespoons of sugar and a pinch of salt, then whisk well until combined. You can adjust the sugar amount to your liking. Next, pour in 100ml of milk and mix gently to create the egg batter.

Heat a frying pan over medium heat. Once the pan is sufficiently hot, add 1-2 tablespoons of butter and let it melt. Be careful not to let the butter burn, and spread it evenly across the pan.

Now, dip the prepared bread slices into the egg batter, ensuring they are fully coated on both sides. Let them soak for about 10-20 seconds to absorb the mixture thoroughly. Be careful not to soak them for too long, or the bread might break.
Step 5
Place the egg-coated bread slices onto the heated pan. Ensure they don’t stick to the pan, and cook them until they are a nice golden brown.
Step 6
Once one side is golden brown, flip the toast and cook the other side until equally golden. Cooking over medium-low heat allows the inside to become wonderfully moist while the outside crisps up beautifully.
