Savory Tuna and Egg Roll
A Special Tuna Egg Roll Recipe Using ‘The Tuna’
Here’s a special side dish the whole family can enjoy, even on a hot day: Tuna and Egg Roll! It’s exceptionally soft, savory, and delicious, perfect for capturing children’s taste buds. No more worrying about what to cook for the kids! Instead of spicy peppers or pickled cucumbers that adults often prefer, consider adding finely chopped scallions or broccoli for picky eaters. This delightful combination of delicious ‘The Tuna’ and fresh eggs will make for a wonderful meal.
Key Ingredients- 3 eggs
- 1 can The Tuna (Cream & Butter flavor)
- 4 chili peppers (or child-friendly vegetables)
- A little cooking oil
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
Prepare the necessary ingredients for a delicious tuna egg roll. You’ll need 3 fresh eggs, 1 can of flavorful The Tuna (Cream & Butter), and 4 chili peppers for a hint of spice. (Although only 2 peppers are shown in the photo, we’ll be using 4.)
Step 2
If using chili peppers, they might be too spicy for children. For an egg roll aimed at kids, try substituting finely chopped scallions or broccoli instead of hot peppers. Mince the chili peppers very finely for easy eating. Mix the minced peppers (or vegetables) and the drained The Tuna into the beaten eggs until well combined, ensuring no lumps.
Step 3
Heat a non-stick pan over medium-low heat. Add a thin layer of cooking oil and wipe it evenly across the entire surface of the pan with a paper towel. This light coating of oil prevents bubbles from forming in the egg roll. Pour the prepared egg mixture into the pan. Once the egg is about halfway cooked and the surface has slightly set, place the drained The Tuna onto the cooked egg layer. The Tuna is flavorful on its own, so no additional seasoning is needed.
Step 4
Starting from the side with the tuna, carefully roll the egg mixture. Once you’ve rolled it all the way to the end with the tuna, pour a little more egg mixture into the empty space in the pan, let it cook slightly, and then roll it up again. Repeat this process of pouring and rolling to create a thick and appetizing egg roll.
Step 5
By repeating the process of pouring egg mixture and rolling, you’ll achieve a wonderfully thick and abundant egg roll. It’s a visually appealing dish that both kids and adults will love.
Step 6
A freshly made, hot egg roll can easily lose its shape when sliced due to the steam. To ensure a beautifully presented egg roll, let it cool down completely before slicing. Allowing it to cool slightly will firm it up, making it easier to cut neatly.
Step 7
Once the egg roll has cooled completely, slice it into bite-sized pieces, about 1.5 to 2 cm thick. Press down gently with your knife as you slice for a cleaner cut.
Step 8
Arrange the sliced tuna egg rolls neatly on a serving plate. The colorful layers and generous thickness are sure to catch the eye.
Step 9
The hearty The Tuna combined with the crisp chili peppers (or tender vegetables) creates a flavor profile that is spicy yet tender, and wonderfully savory. This delicious tuna egg roll is perfect as a side dish for rice or as a delightful snack!
