Sandwich Ingredients

  • 4 slices of bread
  • 6 slices of sirloin ham
  • 2 slices of cheddar cheese
  • 1 ripe avocado
  • 1 fresh tomato
  • Shredded carrots (carrozza), to taste
  • Lettuce leaves, to taste
  • 2 Tbsp ketchup

Homemade Sauce

  • 3 Tbsp Greek yogurt
  • 3 Tbsp allulose (or sweetener)
  • 1 Tbsp mustard

Cooking Instructions

Step 1

First, prepare the tomato and avocado. Slice the tomato into approximately 7mm thick rounds (3 slices in total). Pit and slice the avocado into similar 7mm thick rounds (3 slices in total). This will be about 80g each.

Step 1

Step 2

Let’s make the healthy homemade sauce that will elevate your club sandwich! In a bowl, combine 3 tablespoons of plain Greek yogurt, 3 tablespoons of allulose (you can substitute with sugar or another sweetener for sweetness adjustment, using about 1 tablespoon), and 1 tablespoon of Dijon mustard for a flavor boost. Whisk them together until you achieve a smooth, creamy sauce.

Step 2

Step 3

Now it’s time to assemble your sandwich! Take your four slices of bread. For the bottom half (the ‘back’ slice), generously spread 1 tablespoon of the homemade sauce, then layer it with plenty of crisp lettuce leaves. For the top half (the ‘front’ slice), spread 1 tablespoon of ketchup, then add 1 slice of cheddar cheese, followed by 3 slices of sirloin ham. Next, arrange 3 slices of tomato, a generous amount of shredded carrots, and finally, top with the 3 avocado slices. Carefully place the top half onto the bottom half to complete your magnificent club sandwich!

Step 3

Step 4

Wrap the completed sandwich tightly with parchment paper. This helps maintain the sandwich’s shape, keeping it neat and easy to handle. Folding the parchment paper twice provides a secure wrap, making it convenient for portability or storage.
