Ingredients

  • 2 sticks of commercial iced tea mix
  • 2 sticks of instant black coffee
  • A little hot water (for dissolving coffee)
  • 200ml cold water
  • Ice cubes

Cooking Instructions

Step 1

Gather all your ingredients first. If you have an espresso machine, you can pull a shot of black coffee. Otherwise, follow step 3 for instant coffee.

Step 1

Step 2

In a serving glass, add the 2 sticks of iced tea mix.

Step 2

Step 3

Pour 100ml of cold water into the glass with the iced tea mix. Stir well until completely dissolved, ensuring there are no lumps. This creates a smooth base.

Step 3

Step 4

If using instant black coffee, place the 2 sticks in a small separate container. Add just a tiny amount of hot water, about 10ml, enough to dissolve the coffee granules. Using minimal hot water helps maintain the coffee’s concentrated flavor.

Step 4

Step 5

Add a generous amount of ice cubes to the glass containing the dissolved iced tea. This will keep your drink refreshingly cold.

Step 5

Step 6

Add the remaining 100ml of cold water to the glass, further diluting the iced tea. Finally, slowly pour the dissolved concentrated black coffee (prepared in step 3) along the side of the glass. This creates a beautiful layered effect, completing your ‘Ashotchu’. Enjoy this unique and refreshing beverage!
