We’re going to make a delicious tofu steak by pan-frying it until golden brown and then topping it with a flavorful sauce. This recipe uses the air fryer for ultimate convenience, creating a delightful dish that’s perfect as a side or even a main course.

First, it’s crucial to remove as much moisture as possible from the tofu. Gently press the tofu block with paper towels or a clean kitchen towel to absorb excess water. This step is key to achieving a crispy texture.

To prepare the tofu for its ‘steak’ presentation, make cuts. Starting from the top, slice downwards into the tofu, stopping about 1-2 cm from the bottom to keep it intact. Imagine creating deep grooves, like an open book.
