Main Ingredients- 150g frozen pork belly slices (thawed)
- 1/2 bag fresh bean sprouts (approx. 100-150g)
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
Hello everyone! Today, we’re going to make the fantastically flavorful stir-fried pork belly and bean sprouts that everyone loves. This recipe will surely make your mealtime special.
Step 2
First, heat a pan over medium-low heat and add a little cooking oil. Add the minced garlic (or sliced garlic) and gently fry until fragrant, being careful not to burn it. This process creates a delicious garlic-infused oil that enhances the overall flavor.
Step 3
Now, add the frozen pork belly slices to the pan and stir-fry over medium heat. It’s important to cook the pork belly until it renders its fat; this makes the dish rich and savory. Continue to cook until the pork belly is golden brown.
Step 4
Once the pork belly has rendered enough fat, add the seasoning ingredients: 1 Tbsp soy sauce, 1 Tbsp oyster sauce, and a pinch of black pepper. Stir well to combine. Next, add the sliced onion and chili peppers (red and green if using) and stir-fry until the onions become translucent. Cook for about 1-2 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together.
Step 5
Finally, add the washed bean sprouts to the pan. Increase the heat to high and stir-fry quickly, just until the bean sprouts are slightly wilted but still retain their crispness. Be careful not to overcook them, as they can become mushy!
Step 6
Once all the ingredients are well combined, turn off the heat. Finish with a sprinkle of sesame seeds. This dish is absolutely divine served over a steaming bowl of rice. Enjoy your delicious stir-fried pork belly and bean sprouts!
