Main Ingredients- 1 cup Ground Beef
- 2 cups Diced Onion
- 2/3 Stick Butter (approx. 67g)
- 1 cup Water
- 1 bowl Cooked Rice
- 1 Egg
Seasoning Ingredients- 2 Tbsp Minced Garlic
- 1 Tbsp Sugar
- 2 Tbsp Gochugaru (Korean Chili Powder)
- 1 Tbsp Ketchup
- 2 Tbsp Soy Sauce
- 1/3 Tbsp Salt
- Pinch of Black Pepper
- 1/2 Tbsp Cumin Powder
- 2 Tbsp Minced Garlic
- 1 Tbsp Sugar
- 2 Tbsp Gochugaru (Korean Chili Powder)
- 1 Tbsp Ketchup
- 2 Tbsp Soy Sauce
- 1/3 Tbsp Salt
- Pinch of Black Pepper
- 1/2 Tbsp Cumin Powder
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
Melt the stick butter in a large pan over medium heat. Add the ground beef, diced onion, and minced garlic. Sauté until the onions are tender, breaking up the beef clumps as you cook.
Step 2
It’s important to sauté the onions until they turn translucent and release their sweetness. This step enhances the onion’s flavor.
Step 3
Once the beef and onions are tender and have released some juices, add the ketchup, sugar, gochugaru, soy sauce, and water in that order. Stir well to combine, then reduce the heat to low and simmer until the sauce thickens.
Step 4
After the chili sauce has reduced, season it with salt and black pepper to taste. Adjust the amount of salt according to your preference.

Add the cumin powder to enhance the aroma and flavor. Stir well, and your delicious chili sauce, comparable to restaurant-quality, is ready!

In a separate pan, lightly grease with oil and fry the egg to your desired doneness. A sunny-side-up or over-easy egg will create a wonderfully creamy texture when mixed with the chili sauce.
