Cooking Instructions

Step 1

Prepare all the ingredients needed for making bark chocolate. Have your white, dark, and pink chocolates ready, and pre-portion any toppings like dried fruits, nuts, and strawberry dice.

Step 1

Step 2

To melt the chocolate, pour hot water into a bowl. Place another bowl containing the chocolate on top of the hot water bowl (double boiler method) to melt it gently without scorching.

Step 2

Step 3

Using a spatula or scraper, stir the chocolate slowly until it is completely melted and smooth. Ensure there are no lumps for a perfect consistency.

Step 3

Step 4

Transfer each melted chocolate into separate piping bags. On a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or a silicone mat, pipe out the chocolate in your desired shapes for bark chocolate. You can create swirls, irregular patterns, or any design you like.

Step 4

Step 5

Gently tap the baking sheet on your work surface or lightly tap the mold. This helps to release any trapped air bubbles within the chocolate, resulting in a smooth and professional finish.

Step 5

Step 6

While the chocolate is still wet, generously sprinkle your prepared dried fruits, assorted nuts, and strawberry dice over the surface. Decorate according to your imagination to create beautiful patterns.

Step 6

Step 7

Since Pepero Day is approaching, I’ve added Pepero crackers for a festive touch. You can break them into pieces or use them whole as decorative elements.

Step 7

Step 8

Ensure all toppings are applied before the chocolate begins to set. If the chocolate hardens too much, the toppings may fall off, so work efficiently.

Step 8

Step 9

Place the decorated bark chocolate in the refrigerator for about 10 minutes to firm up quickly. Be careful not to over-chill, as this can make the chocolate too hard.

Step 9

Step 10

Here is the back view of the bark chocolate after it has set. You can see the clean surface and well-adhered toppings.

Step 10

Step 11

Package your beautifully crafted bark chocolates in attractive wrapping paper. Add ribbons or stickers to make them perfect for gifting.

Step 11

Step 12

Now, let’s move on to making a refreshing strawberry fondue. You will need fresh strawberries, white, dark, and pink chocolates, and some sprinkles.

Step 12

Step 13

Melt the chocolates for the fondue using the same double boiler method as before. Wash the strawberries thoroughly and ensure they are completely dry before dipping. Excess moisture can cause the chocolate to seize.

Step 13

Step 14

Dip the dried strawberries into the melted chocolate, coating them generously. Carefully place the coated strawberries onto a tray lined with parchment paper.

Step 14

Step 15

To make the fondue even more visually appealing, sprinkle colorful sprinkles onto the chocolate-coated strawberries. This is a fun step, especially if you’re making them with children.

Step 15

Step 16

Once the initial chocolate coating has slightly set, use a piping bag to drizzle melted white chocolate over the strawberry fondue in thin lines or zigzags for added decoration. Feel free to use other chocolate colors to create unique designs.

Step 16

Step 17

Your vibrant strawberry fondue is now complete, offering a delightful combination of tartness and sweetness. The pairing of fresh fruit and smooth chocolate creates a truly blissful taste.

Step 17

Step 18

A special gift for your loved ones! Convey your warm feelings this Pepero Day and Valentine’s Day with your handmade bark chocolate and strawberry fondue. ^^
