First, prepare 3 ripe bananas. Peel them and cut each banana into 4 equal pieces. It’s important to cut them into a decent thickness, as they might fall apart if cut too thin.

Now it’s time to coat them. Lightly dust the banana pieces with flour. Then, dip them into a beaten egg, ensuring they are fully coated. Finally, press them firmly into the panko breadcrumbs. Pressing the breadcrumbs well will ensure a crispier texture once cooked.

Arrange the coated banana fritters in your air fryer basket, making sure they don’t overlap. Place them in a preheated air fryer set to 180°C (350°F) and cook for about 5 minutes. After 5 minutes, carefully flip the fritters over and cook for another 3 minutes at 180°C (350°F). This will result in a golden-brown exterior and a soft, warm interior.
