Key Ingredients

  • 8 fresh eggs
  • 1 Tbsp salt (for boiling eggs)
  • 1/2 onion
  • A small bunch of green onions (scallions)
  • 1 red chili pepper
  • 1 green chili pepper

Flavorful Marinade

  • 1 cup Gompyo Soy Sauce for Braising and Stir-frying
  • 1 cup water

Cooking Instructions

Step 1

Bring 1 liter of water to a rolling boil in a pot, adding 1 tablespoon of salt. Once boiling, carefully add the 8 eggs and cook for exactly 6 minutes. Immediately after 6 minutes, transfer the eggs to an ice bath to cool completely. This chilling process is key to making the shells peel off easily!

Step 1

Step 2

In a bowl, combine 1 cup of Gompyo Soy Sauce for Braising and Stir-frying with 1 cup of water, maintaining a 1:1 ratio. Finely mince the onion and add it to the marinade. Chop the green onions, red chili, and green chili peppers and add them as well. The fresh flavors of the vegetables will add wonderful depth to the soy sauce marinade.

Step 2

Step 3

Gently peel the cooled soft-boiled eggs. If the shells are difficult to remove, try tapping the wider end of the egg slightly to create a small crack and pour a little water underneath the shell to help loosen it.

Step 3

Step 4

Carefully place the peeled soft-boiled eggs into the prepared marinade, ensuring they are fully submerged. Let the eggs marinate in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours for the flavors to meld beautifully. While they are delicious after 2 hours, for the ultimate taste experience, allow them to marinate overnight!
