Quick & Easy 10-Minute Kid-Friendly Cup French Toast
Whip Up a Delicious Kid’s Breakfast or Snack in Just 10 Minutes: Cup French Toast Recipe
French toast is a beloved breakfast staple for many children, including my own two! However, making it during the busy morning rush to get ready for school can be a challenge. This recipe offers a convenient solution that makes it easy for both the cook and the little ones. Serve it in cups for a fuss-free way for kids to enjoy a bite while getting ready, making hectic mornings much smoother.
Ingredients- 2 slices of bread
- 2 large eggs
- 3 Tbsp milk
- 2 slices of baby cheese (or mild cheese)
- Pinch of salt (optional)
- Pinch of sugar (optional)
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
In a mixing bowl, crack the 2 large eggs and pour in the 3 tablespoons of milk. Whisk them together gently until well combined. If desired, you can add a tiny pinch of salt for flavor enhancement or a pinch of sugar for a touch of sweetness, though it’s optional, especially for very young children.
Step 2
Cut the 2 slices of bread into bite-sized cubes, about 2-3 cm (around 1 inch). Cutting them into manageable pieces will make them easier to mix and eat.
Step 3
Tear the 2 slices of baby cheese into smaller pieces and add them to the bowl with the bread and egg mixture. The cheese adds a wonderful creamy texture and savory note that kids usually adore.
Step 4
Gently fold everything together with a spatula or spoon until the bread cubes are coated. Be careful not to overmix, as this can make the bread mushy. Transfer the mixture into microwave-safe cups or ramekins. Microwave on high for 3 minutes. Cooking time may vary slightly depending on your microwave’s wattage.
Step 5
And there you have it! In just 3 minutes, you’ll have warm, delicious, and incredibly easy cup French toast. Let it cool slightly before serving this delightful treat to your little one. Perfect for a quick breakfast or a satisfying snack!
