Main Ingredients- 2/3 King Oyster Mushroom
- 1/4 block Firm Tofu
- 1 Sausage (your preferred type)
Seasoning- 1/2 Tbsp Sugar
- 2/3 Tbsp Minced Garlic
- 1/2 Tbsp Soy Sauce
- 1/2 Tbsp Sesame Oil
- A pinch of Toasted Sesame Seeds

Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, slice the king oyster mushrooms into flat, bite-sized pieces. Slicing them about 0.5 cm thick will ensure a good texture; too thin and they might lose their chewiness. Slice the firm tofu into similar flat pieces as the mushrooms.
Step 2
Peel the casing off the sausage and slice it into rounds, or cut it in half lengthwise and then into slices, matching the size of the mushrooms and tofu. For a less oily and more refined taste, you can briefly blanch the sausage in boiling water before slicing.
Step 3
Heat a little cooking oil in a pan over medium heat. Add the sliced king oyster mushrooms and tofu. Stir-fry them gently to allow their moisture to evaporate, which will enhance their chewy texture. At this stage, add 1/2 Tbsp sugar and 2/3 Tbsp minced garlic, mixing well to coat the ingredients. It’s important to stir-fry until the garlic aroma is well infused into the mushrooms and tofu.
Step 4
Once the king oyster mushrooms and tofu begin to turn golden brown, add the sliced sausage to the pan and stir-fry together. Sausages cook quickly, so it’s best to add them when the other ingredients are partially cooked.
Step 5
When the sausage is nicely browned, pour 1/2 Tbsp of soy sauce along the edge of the pan and stir-fry everything together. The soy sauce will caramelize slightly, adding depth to the flavor. Continue to stir-fry for another 1-2 minutes until all ingredients are well combined.
Step 6
When all ingredients are evenly browned and cooked, turn off the heat. Drizzle with 1/2 Tbsp of sesame oil for extra fragrance. For a finishing touch, sprinkle with toasted sesame seeds to enhance the nutty aroma. Your delicious stir-fried king oyster mushroom and sausage is ready! It’s also wonderful served over a bowl of hot rice as a simple rice bowl.
