Main Ingredients- 2 slices of sandwich bread (or 1 bun)
- 2-3 fresh leafy greens (e.g., romaine, lettuce)
- 2 slices of cheddar cheese
- 4 slices of ham
- 4 thin slices of onion
Aromatic Garlic Olive Oil- 3 Tbsp extra virgin olive oil
- 1 tsp minced garlic
- 3 Tbsp extra virgin olive oil
- 1 tsp minced garlic
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
In a small bowl, combine 3 tablespoons of olive oil and 1 teaspoon of minced garlic. Whisk them together to create an aromatic garlic-infused olive oil. Let it sit for a moment for the garlic flavor to meld with the oil.

If your ham is whole, thinly slice it to match the size of your bread. If using pre-sliced deli ham, you can skip this step.

Slice the sandwich bread in half. Brush the inner surfaces evenly with the prepared garlic olive oil. Be careful not to spread it to the very edges to prevent burning. Lightly toast the bread in a pan or bake in a preheated oven (180°C / 356°F) for 2-3 minutes until lightly golden. This will make the bread crisp and enhance its flavor.
Step 4
Spread the honey mustard sauce evenly over the toasted inner side of the bread. Ensure a consistent layer so every bite is flavorful.

On the sauced bread, layer the fresh leafy greens, followed by the 2 slices of cheddar cheese. The cheese helps bind the ingredients together.
