Main Ingredients- 1 bowl of warm cooked rice
- 100g fresh salmon fillet
- 1/8 apple
Sushi Seasoning- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1 Tbsp rice vinegar
- 2 Tbsp mayonnaise

Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, finely mince the apple. This will add a refreshing sweetness to your sushi rice. Make sure to remove the core and seeds.
Step 2
In a bowl of warm, freshly cooked rice, add the sushi seasoning ingredients: 1 tsp salt, 1 tsp sugar, and 1 Tbsp rice vinegar. Also, add all the finely minced apple.

Gently mix everything together with a spatula or spoon, being careful not to mash the rice grains. Ensure the apple and seasonings are evenly distributed throughout the rice. This creates your delicious sushi rice base.

Now it’s time to shape the sushi. Lightly wet your hands or wear a plastic glove. Scoop about a tablespoon of the sushi rice and gently press it into a bite-sized oval shape. Don’t worry about pressing too firmly; a light touch is perfect.

Prepare your fresh salmon. Carefully slide a knife under the skin of the salmon. Holding the knife close to the skin, pull the skin away smoothly while simultaneously drawing the knife forward. This technique helps to remove the skin cleanly.
Step 6
Slice the skinless salmon fillet into thin, flat pieces that will fit nicely on top of the sushi rice. Place a slice of salmon on each prepared sushi rice mound. Finish with a drizzle of mayonnaise over the salmon, and your delectable fresh salmon nigiri sushi is ready to be enjoyed!
