Main Ingredients- 1/2 bunch fresh chives (approx. 100g)
- 4 Tbsp dried small shrimp (baby shrimp)
- 1/5 carrot
- 10 frozen shrimp, peeled and deveined
Batter- 1 cup pancake mix (approx. 150g)
- 1 cup cold water (approx. 200ml)
- 1 cup pancake mix (approx. 150g)
- 1 cup cold water (approx. 200ml)
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, wash the chives thoroughly and pat them dry. Cut them into approximately 2-inch lengths. Peel the carrot and julienne it into thin strips. Preparing the ingredients in advance will make the cooking process much smoother.

Step 2
Add the dried small shrimp to the cut chives and julienned carrots. These small shrimp add a delightful savory depth and crunch.

Step 3
If using frozen shrimp, briefly thaw them in cold water, then chop them into bite-sized pieces (about 1/2 to 3/4 inch). Add the chopped shrimp to the bowl. Sprinkle the pancake mix evenly over the chives, carrots, and shrimp.

Step 4
Now, let’s make the batter. Gradually pour in the cold water while stirring everything together. Aim for a consistency that’s not too thick or too thin – it should be pourable but still hold its shape slightly. A good test is if it drizzles slowly from a spoon.

Step 5
Heat a generous amount of cooking oil in a frying pan over medium-low heat. Ladle a portion of the batter into the pan and spread it out gently into a round shape. Cook until the bottom is golden brown and crispy, then flip and cook the other side until golden and cooked through. Your delicious shrimp and chive pancake is ready to enjoy! ♡
