Sweet & Crunchy Fruit Sandwich: A Delightful Snack for Children

I’ve made sandwiches after a long time! Today, we’re using all the fruits we have at home to create a sweet and crunchy fruit sandwich. It’s a great snack for kids or for their lunchboxes.

Main Ingredients

  • 4 slices of bread
  • 1 avocado
  • 1 Korean melon tomato (or cherry tomato)
  • 1 banana
  • 1/2 Korean melon (or cantaloupe)
  • 2 lettuce leaves

Seasoning & Sauce

  • 2 Tbsp mayonnaise
  • 2 pinches fine salt
  • 4 tsp honey mustard

Cooking Instructions

Step 1

Thinly slice the tomato. Wash it, pat it dry, and then cut it into thin rounds. Aim for consistent thickness so it lies flat in the sandwich.

Prepare the Korean melon (or cantaloupe). First, remove the skin. Then, carefully scoop out and discard the seeds. Once cleaned, finely dice the melon flesh.

Halve the avocado, remove the pit, and peel off the skin. Mash or dice the avocado flesh into small pieces. It should be soft enough to mix easily.

Peel the banana and then slice it into thin rounds. Try to keep the slices relatively uniform in thickness.

In a medium bowl, combine the sliced banana, diced Korean melon, and diced avocado. Add the mayonnaise and fine salt. Gently mix everything together until just combined, being careful not to mash the fruit too much. This forms your creamy fruit filling.
