Seasoning- Salt, to taste
- Pepper, a pinch
- Salt, to taste
- Pepper, a pinch
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, peel the potato and rinse it under running water. Slice it thinly, about 0.3 cm thick, and then cut it into matchsticks of a similar thickness. Slicing them to a consistent width is key to ensuring even cooking and preventing them from breaking apart.
Step 2
Heat a pan over medium heat and add a generous amount of cooking oil. Add the potato matchsticks and stir-fry until they start to look slightly translucent. Then, reduce the heat to medium-low and carefully pour in about 2 tablespoons of water around the edges of the pan. This will help the potatoes become tender and prevent sticking. Continue to sauté, stirring occasionally, until the potatoes are cooked through.
Step 3
While the potatoes are cooking, open the can of tuna and drain out as much oil as possible. Add the drained tuna to the pan with the potatoes. Gently mix the tuna and potatoes together with a fork or spatula, stir-frying briefly. Be careful not to overcook the tuna, as it can become dry and crumbly.
Step 4
Taste the mixture and season with salt as needed. Adjust the amount of salt carefully, considering the natural saltiness of the tuna. Finish with a pinch of freshly ground pepper for added aroma and flavor. Your delicious sautéed potatoes with tuna are now ready to serve!
