Savory Stir-Fried Pork Belly Fried Rice
Banish the Dust! Spicy Stir-Fried Pork Belly Fried Rice:D
The fine dust was really bad, making my throat sore and breathing difficult. I made this for my husband who worked hard through it all 😀
Ingredients- Pork Belly Strips 4 pieces
- Chopped Chives Kimchi 1/2 bowl
- Cooked Rice 3 bowls
Seasoning- Oyster Sauce 1 Tbsp
- Oyster Sauce 1 Tbsp
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
Cook the pork belly in a pan over medium heat until golden brown. Since you’ll be stir-frying it with rice, don’t cook it too crispy; just until it’s cooked through enough to be cut with scissors. This allows the fat to render, coating the rice grains for extra flavor.
Step 2
Finely chop the cooked pork belly into bite-sized pieces. Also, finely chop the chives kimchi. The crispiness of the kimchi and the richness of the pork belly will create a fantastic taste combination.
Step 3
Add the cooked rice to the pan. Gently break up the rice clumps with a spatula as you stir-fry. It’s important to ensure the rice grains are separate and not mushy.
Step 4
While stir-frying the rice, add 1 tablespoon of oyster sauce. Oyster sauce adds umami and a glossy finish, significantly enhancing the flavor of the fried rice.
Step 5
Now, add the chopped pork belly and chives kimchi. Stir-fry everything together evenly until well combined. Cooking over high heat for a short time helps evaporate excess moisture, preventing the rice from becoming soggy.
Step 6
Transfer the delicious stir-fried pork belly rice to a serving bowl. For an extra touch, you can top it with a fried egg or some shredded seaweed.
