Main Ingredients- 5 Organic Mandarin Oranges
- 1/2 piece Fresh Ginger (about thumb-sized)
- Pinch of Cinnamon Stick or Powder (optional)
Seasoning & Others- 3 cups Water (approx. 600ml)
- 2-3 Tbsp Honey or Agave Syrup (adjust to taste)
- 3 cups Water (approx. 600ml)
- 2-3 Tbsp Honey or Agave Syrup (adjust to taste)
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, wash the organic mandarin oranges thoroughly. Remove any seeds and cut them into 4-6 wedges. Peel the fresh ginger and slice it thinly or mince it. If using a cinnamon stick, prepare a small piece; if using ground cinnamon, use a small pinch. You can make a delicious tea with just tangerines and ginger, so feel free to omit the cinnamon if you find its flavor too strong.
Step 2
Place the prepared mandarin oranges, ginger, and cinnamon (if using) into a pot. Then, pour in 3 cups (approximately 600ml) of filtered water, ensuring all the ingredients are submerged.
Step 3
Place the pot over high heat. Once the water comes to a boil, reduce the heat to low. Let it simmer gently for about 10 minutes with the lid slightly ajar, allowing the flavors and aromas to infuse into the water. Be careful not to over-boil, as it might result in a bitter taste.
Step 4
After 10 minutes, turn off the heat. Strain the tea through a fine-mesh sieve to obtain a clear liquid. Pour the warm tea into a mug and stir in 2-3 tablespoons of honey or syrup, adjusting the sweetness to your preference. Your homemade Mandarin Ginger Tea is ready! Enjoy it warm for the best experience.
