Essential Ingredients- 1 packet Quince Cherry Juice (concentrate)
- 1000ml clean water
- 5 tablespoons agar-agar powder
- 4 tablespoons agave syrup (adjust to taste)
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, prepare 900ml to 1000ml of clean water. Pour one packet of Quince Cherry Juice concentrate into the water and mix well. Instead of sugar, you can add about 4 tablespoons of agave syrup to adjust the sweetness. Agave syrup is a great option as it tends to raise blood sugar levels more slowly than regular sugar.
Step 2
Pour the mixed cherry juice into a saucepan. Gradually sift in the 5 tablespoons of agar-agar powder while whisking constantly to prevent clumps. Gently stir and bring to a simmer over medium-low heat. Once it starts boiling, turn off the heat immediately. Let it cool slightly before it sets. Be careful not to boil it for too long, as this can weaken the agar-agar’s setting power.
Step 3
Place a small piece of fresh pineapple into each of your prepared jelly molds. Carefully ladle the slightly cooled agar-agar and cherry juice mixture over the pineapple. It’s best not to fill the molds completely to the brim. Refrigerate for at least 1-2 hours, or until the jelly is completely firm and set. Enjoy your refreshing homemade cherry jelly!
