Main Ingredients

  • 12g Butter
  • 20 dried jujubes (red dates)
  • 20 almonds
  • 15g skim milk powder (for coating)
  • 10g skim milk powder (for the dough)

Cooking Instructions

Step 1

First, wash the dried jujubes thoroughly under running water and then pat them completely dry with paper towels. Using a straw is an effective way to easily and neatly remove the jujube seeds. Insert the straw into the seeded part and push it in deeply to eject the seeds.

Step 1

Step 2

Place one almond into the hole of each jujube after removing the seeds. Gently press the almond so it fits snugly inside the jujube.

Step 2

Step 3

All ingredients are now prepared! Are you ready to start making the jujube balls?

Step 3

Step 4

Melt 10g of butter in a non-stick pan over low heat. Once the butter is melted, add the marshmallows and stir gently with a spatula as they cook. It’s important to cook until the marshmallows start to melt smoothly.

Step 4

Step 5

As soon as the marshmallows become soft and gooey, immediately turn off the heat. While still warm, quickly add the 10g of skim milk powder and stir rapidly with the spatula to form a dough. Be careful not to overmix.

Step 5

Step 6

Add the prepared jujubes to the dough and mix lightly. Once the dough has cooled slightly and is manageable to touch, put on disposable gloves and shape them into balls by hand. Ensure the almonds are well-enclosed by the dough.

Step 6

Step 7

Finally, spread the 15g of skim milk powder on a plate. Roll the shaped jujube balls in the powder, ensuring they are evenly coated. Once fully coated, they are ready! ^~^
