Main Ingredients

  • Carrot, about 3g (a very small amount)
  • Zucchini, about 5g (a very small amount)
  • 1/2 Onion
  • 2 bowls Frozen cooked rice
  • 2 Eggs

Seasoning

  • 2 Tbsp Haeul Oyster Sauce (or your preferred oyster sauce)
  • 1/2 tsp Sesame oil

Cooking Instructions

First, prepare the vegetables for the fried rice. Wash the zucchini, carrot, and onion thoroughly, then finely chop them into pieces slightly smaller than rice grains. Finely chopped vegetables blend better with the rice and cook faster.

We recommend using ‘Haeul Oyster Sauce’ for its seafood flavor, but you can use any type of oyster sauce you have at home. Feel free to adjust the amount of oyster sauce to your preference.

Heat a generous amount of cooking oil in a frying pan. Crack the 2 eggs into the pan and cook them until they are soft-boiled. Aim to cook just the egg whites, leaving the yolks slightly runny; this will make the fried rice creamy and delicious.

Carefully transfer the soft-boiled eggs to a separate plate. Add a little more cooking oil to the same pan, then add the finely chopped vegetables and stir-fry over medium heat until the vegetables become translucent and slightly tender.

When the vegetables are about 80% cooked, turn off the heat temporarily. Add 2 bowls of frozen rice, which you’ve heated in the microwave, to the pan. Use the residual heat from the pan to mix and combine the rice with the vegetables. It’s important to gently break up any clumps of rice as you mix.

Once the rice is evenly mixed with the vegetables, add 2 tablespoons of oyster sauce and 1/2 teaspoon of sesame oil. Mix everything thoroughly again, ensuring the oyster sauce and sesame oil coat all the rice grains. Stir well until all the seasonings are evenly distributed between the rice grains for a delicious oyster sauce fried rice!
