Main Ingredients- Pasta (1 serving)
- A little sliced ham (approx. 30-50g)
- 1/4 onion
Sauce & Seasoning- Store-bought cream pasta sauce (1 serving, approx. 100-150g)
- 50ml milk (optional, for adjusting sauce consistency)
- Store-bought cream pasta sauce (1 serving, approx. 100-150g)
- 50ml milk (optional, for adjusting sauce consistency)
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, boil the pasta. In plenty of boiling water, add a pinch of salt (about 10g of salt per 1L of water) and add the pasta. You can adjust the salt to your preference. Refer to the package instructions for cooking time, but if you prefer a softer texture, I recommend cooking it for an extra 1-2 minutes.
Step 2
Since I was making this for my two little ones, I boiled it for over 12 minutes to ensure a tender texture. Cooking it 1-2 minutes longer than the package suggests makes it perfect for children to eat.
Step 3
Once the pasta is cooked, drain it in a colander. Don’t discard the pasta water; save about a ladleful, as it can be useful later for mixing the sauce and pasta.
Step 4
In a pan, combine the store-bought cream pasta sauce, ham, and onion. Sauté over medium-low heat. When the onions become translucent and the ham smells fragrant, add the boiled pasta and some of the reserved pasta water. Stir well until the sauce and pasta are evenly combined. If needed, add a little milk to achieve a smooth sauce consistency. Once everything is well mixed and heated through, your delicious creamy pasta is ready!
