Ramen Ingredients

  • Seafood mix for ramen 1 pack (approx. 100-150g)
  • Instant ramen noodles 1 pack (your preferred brand)
  • Green onion 1/2 stalk
  • Water 300ml
  • Fresh egg 1
  • Shiitake mushroom 1

Seasoning & Add-ins

  • Ramen soup base 1/2 packet (adjust to taste)
  • Gochugaru (Korean chili flakes) 1 Tbsp

Cooking Instructions

Step 1

Prepare all your ingredients. Wash the green onion and slice it thinly. Slice the shiitake mushroom into bite-sized pieces. You can pre-whisk the egg or add it directly into the pot later.

Step 1

Step 2

In a pot, bring 300ml of water to a rolling boil over high heat. Once boiling, add the ramen noodles. Gently loosen the noodles with chopsticks to prevent them from sticking together.

Step 2

Step 3

When the water returns to a boil, add the prepared seafood mix. Be careful not to overcook the seafood, as it can become tough. Cook just until it’s done.

Step 3

Step 4

When the noodles are almost cooked, it’s a good idea to rinse them briefly in cold water to remove excess oil, which results in a cleaner broth (optional, but recommended). Drain the noodles and discard most of the cooking water. Add another 300ml of fresh water to the pot and bring it back to a boil. Now, add the ramen soup base and stir well to dissolve.

Step 4

Step 5

For a spicy kick, add 1 tablespoon of gochugaru (Korean chili flakes). Feel free to add more if you like it extra spicy, or reduce the amount if you prefer a milder taste.

Step 5

Step 6

Once the broth is boiling again, add the rinsed noodles back into the pot. Reduce the heat to medium-low and simmer for another 2-3 minutes, or until the noodles reach your desired tenderness.

Step 6

Step 7

Finally, garnish with the sliced green onions, shiitake mushrooms, and the egg. You can let the egg poach gently in the broth or lightly whisk it in for a creamier texture. Once everything is well combined, your delicious seafood ramen is ready to be enjoyed!
