Cooking Instructions

Step 1

First, prepare the fish cakes. Briefly blanch them in hot water or rinse them under hot water to remove any impurities and excess oil, which results in a cleaner taste. Squeeze out any excess water and cut them into your desired size (bite-sized pieces or strips). You can cut them smaller for children to enjoy easily.

Step 1

Step 2

Now, place the cut fish cakes in the air fryer basket without preheating. It’s important to spread them out so they don’t overlap. Set the temperature to 180°C (350°F) and air fry for about 10 minutes. The cooking time may vary slightly depending on the thickness of the fish cakes and your air fryer’s performance, so check them periodically.

Step 2

Step 3

About halfway through the cooking process, around the 5-minute mark, open the air fryer basket and check the fish cakes. If any pieces are overlapping, it’s a good idea to flip them or rearrange them so they cook evenly and become crispy on all sides. This ensures a uniformly golden-brown finish.

Step 3

Step 4

After 10 minutes, remove the fish cakes and check for doneness. They are ready when they are golden brown on both sides, slightly curled at the edges, and have a satisfyingly crispy texture! Let them cool for a moment to achieve maximum crispiness. If you find them a bit plain, they are delicious served with ketchup or mustard for dipping.
