Simple Morning Bread Sandwich
A Hearty Yet Light Breakfast: How to Make a Super Easy Morning Bread Sandwich
Hello, this is Jjinyeng’s Mom 🙂 I’ve decided to make my husband breakfast about 5 times a week! Today, I made a super simple morning bread sandwich, perfect for a treat now and then. The soft morning bread is filled with fresh vegetables, ham, and egg, creating a satisfying yet light meal that’s ideal for your morning.
Ingredients- 4 Morning bread buns
- 1/4 cucumber
- 1/4 carrot
- 2 hard-boiled eggs
- 2 slices of ham
- 1 Tbsp mustard
- 3 Tbsp mayonnaise
- A pinch of black pepper
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, cut the ham into bite-sized pieces (about 1cm). Lightly grease a frying pan and cook the ham over medium heat until it’s lightly browned and fragrant. This step adds a wonderful savory flavor.
Step 2
Finely dice the cucumber and carrot into pieces similar in size to the ham. Add the diced vegetables to the pan with the cooked ham. Lightly sautéing the vegetables enhances their crisp texture and natural sweetness, making the sandwich filling even more delicious.
Step 3
Hard-boil the eggs until fully cooked, then peel them. Mash the eggs thoroughly using a fork or a potato masher until smooth. Ensure there are no large lumps for a better consistency when mixed.
Step 4
In a bowl, combine the cooked ham and vegetables with the mashed eggs. Add 3 tablespoons of mayonnaise and 1 tablespoon of mustard. Season with a pinch of black pepper, or to your preference. Mix everything together gently until well combined. Taste and add a tiny pinch of salt if needed.
Step 5
Using a serrated knife, carefully slice the top of each morning bun, cutting about two-thirds of the way through without separating the halves completely. This creates a pocket for the filling. Generously spoon the prepared filling into each bun. Your delicious morning bread sandwiches, packed with flavor, are now ready to enjoy!
