  • 2 Cheongyang peppers (Korean red chili peppers)

Seasoning Sauce

  • 2 Tbsp soy sauce (jin-ganjang)
  • 1 Tbsp fish sauce (anchovy sauce)
  • 1 Tbsp red pepper flakes (gochugaru)
  • 1 Tbsp rice wine (mirin)
  • 1 Tbsp toasted sesame seeds

Prepare a deep, microwave-safe bowl. Carefully open the package of 1 soft tofu and gently place it into the bowl. It’s recommended to use a slightly deeper bowl as soft tofu can release water during cooking, preventing overflow.

Next, add the sauce ingredients: 2 Tbsp soy sauce, 1 Tbsp fish sauce, 1 Tbsp red pepper flakes, 1 Tbsp rice wine, and 1 Tbsp toasted sesame seeds. Mix them lightly to coat the tofu. Microwave for approximately 3 minutes until heated through and the sauce has slightly thickened. (Adjust cooking time based on your microwave’s power.)
