Salad Ingredients

  • Beef for grilling (thickly cut) about 280g
  • 1/2 Zucchini
  • 1-2 King Oyster Mushrooms
  • 1 Onion
  • 1 Tbsp Perilla Oil
  • 1 Tbsp Olive Oil

Beef Marinade

  • Pinch of salt
  • Pinch of black pepper

Dressing

  • Balsamic Vinegar (to taste)

Cooking Instructions

Step 1

First, generously season the beef for grilling with salt and pepper to marinate. Letting it rest for about 10 minutes will enhance its juiciness.

Step 1

Step 2

Slice the zucchini into 0.5cm thick half-moons and the onion into 1cm thick strips. Slice the king oyster mushrooms to about 0.5cm thickness. (Don’t forget the mushrooms, even though they’re missing from the photo!) Feel free to add other favorite vegetables like bell peppers or carrots for grilling – they taste delicious too. Bell peppers, in particular, add a beautiful color and enhance the overall appeal.

Step 2

Step 3

In a grill pan or a regular frying pan, combine 1 tablespoon of olive oil and 1 tablespoon of perilla oil, and heat over medium heat. The flavor is even better when the oil is sufficiently hot before adding the ingredients.

Step 3

Step 4

Place the prepared zucchini, onion, and king oyster mushrooms in the pan. Sprinkle a little salt and grill until nicely browned. Grilling them until they get those attractive grill marks makes them look even more appetizing. Grilled vegetables tend to have a more concentrated sweetness and deeper flavor.

Step 4

Step 5

In the same pan, cook the marinated beef until golden brown on both sides. To prevent it from becoming tough, it’s recommended to cook it to medium-rare. Once cooked, let the beef rest for a moment before slicing it into bite-sized pieces. Arrange the grilled vegetables and beef attractively on a plate, then drizzle with balsamic vinegar to taste. Your delicious Beef and Vegetable Salad is ready to be enjoyed! It makes for a satisfying meal or a special occasion dish.
