Ingredients- 50g fresh chives
- 10 Tbsp dark soy sauce (approx. 150ml)
- 1 Tbsp sugar (adjust to taste)
- 1 Tbsp minced garlic (freshly minced is best)
- 1 Tbsp toasted sesame seeds
- 2 Tbsp sesame oil
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
In a large bowl, combine 10 tablespoons of dark soy sauce, 1 tablespoon of sugar, and 1 tablespoon of minced garlic. You can adjust the amount of sugar to your preference for sweetness.
Step 2
Add 1 tablespoon of toasted sesame seeds for a nutty flavor and 2 tablespoons of sesame oil for aroma. Stir everything together until well combined.
Step 3
Gently rinse the 50g of fresh chives under running water, shaking off any dirt or impurities. Using fresh chives will significantly enhance the flavor of your seasoning.
Step 4
Lightly pat the washed chives dry. Trim off the tough ends, about 2cm, and then finely chop the chives. This will help them integrate well into the seasoning.
Step 5
Add the finely chopped chives to the bowl with the prepared soy sauce mixture.
Step 6
Now, gently mix everything together with a spoon or spatula until all the ingredients are well incorporated. You’ll notice a wonderful aroma as the fresh chives combine with the soy sauce mixture.
Step 7
Congratulations! Your ultimate all-purpose soy sauce seasoning is ready. This delightful condiment is perfect for pot rice dishes, but also versatile enough for seasoning various vegetable dishes or even tofu.
