Main Ingredients- 1/2 Apple (thinly sliced)
- 4 Eggs
- 1-2 handfuls of Mozzarella cheese or your favorite cheese
- A small amount of beef (ground or thinly sliced) (optional)
Seasoning & Spices- 1 piece of Butter (approx. 10g)
- Ground Cinnamon, to taste
- 3 pinches of Sugar (or your preferred sweetener)
- 1 piece of Butter (approx. 10g)
- Ground Cinnamon, to taste
- 3 pinches of Sugar (or your preferred sweetener)
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, prepare your apple. Wash 1/2 apple thoroughly, remove the core, and slice it as thinly as possible, about 2-3mm thick. Thin slices ensure a tender texture when cooked and blend well with other ingredients.
Step 2
If you are using beef, lightly grease a pan and cook the beef, breaking it up as needed, until it’s done to your liking. Slightly cooking it beforehand adds a pleasant texture to the pizza. You can also use pre-cooked ground beef or ham.
Step 3
Now, let’s start making the pizza. Heat a non-stick skillet over medium-low heat and melt 1 piece of butter. Once the butter is fully melted, arrange the thinly sliced apples in a single layer to cover the bottom of the pan. Try not to overlap them too much.
Step 4
Sprinkle 3 pinches of sugar and cinnamon powder to your preference over the apples. The fragrant cinnamon and subtle sweetness will enhance the apple’s flavor. If you’re not a fan of cinnamon, feel free to omit or adjust the amount.
Step 5
Next, crack the eggs. Carefully break 4 eggs over the apples and seasonings. Be mindful not to break the yolks if you prefer them runny. Generously sprinkle your chosen cheese around and over the eggs. Finally, add the pre-cooked beef on top.
Step 6
Cover the skillet tightly with a lid. Cook over low heat until the egg whites are fully set and the yolks reach your desired doneness (soft-boiled or hard-boiled). This usually takes about 5-8 minutes; adjust the cooking time based on your stove and pan. The pizza is ready when the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Step 7
Carefully transfer the finished Apple Egg Pizza to a plate. For a nice presentation, a sprinkle of dried parsley is lovely, but if you don’t have any, finely chopped fresh chives or green onions can also add a fresh touch and a pop of color. Enjoy your delicious and healthy Apple Egg Pizza!
