Refreshing and Sweet Sour Apple Tango Recipe

Sour Apple, a blend of fresh apple pieces and rosehip, offers a delightful balance of tartness and sweetness. It’s a natural apple tea that you can enjoy, known for its benefits in relieving fatigue and anti-aging. I fell in love with the taste of Sour Apple Tango at a newly opened tea cafe and decided to recreate it at home. It’s not difficult to make, and as long as you have Sour Apple, you can easily craft cafe-quality beverages with ingredients you already have. Let’s get started!

Ingredients
  • 2 Tbsp Sour Apple (using a dedicated tea spoon)
  • 200ml Water
  • 60g Citron Preserve (approx. 2 Tbsp with a Korean rice spoon)
  • 6 Large Ice Cubes

Cooking Instructions

Step 1

This is our star ingredient, Sour Apple. Its refreshing aroma is already captivating.

Step 2

Prepare 200ml of water. If you don’t have a measuring cup, a standard paper cup holds about 200ml. Boil the water using an electric kettle.

Step 3

Use 2 tablespoons of Sour Apple, measured with a dedicated tea spoon for accurate portioning.

Step 4

Measure out 2 tablespoons of citron preserve using a Korean rice spoon; this amounts to approximately 60g. If you don’t have a kitchen scale, remember this 2-tablespoon measure.

Step 5

Place the 2 tablespoons of Sour Apple into a teapot or heat-resistant glass container. Pour 200ml of boiling water over it. Set a timer and let it steep for 3 to 4 minutes. For a deeper color and flavor, you can extend the steeping time slightly.

Step 6

After steeping, you’ll notice the beautiful, rich red color of the infused Sour Apple.

Step 7

Fill your serving cup about 80% full with ice cubes. The exact number of ice cubes may vary depending on their size.

Step 8

Carefully pour the steeped Sour Apple tea over the ice. Since the tea is hot, it will melt some ice, so you might want to add one or two extra ice cubes.

Step 9

And there you have it – your delicious Apple Tango is complete! The vibrant yellow of the citron preserve and the rich red of the Sour Apple tea create a visually stunning two-tone gradient. Not only is it beautiful to look at, but its refreshing and sweet taste makes it the perfect beverage for warmer weather. Making cafe-style drinks at home is easy, isn’t it? I encourage you all to give it a try!
