I absolutely love chives! Today, I’ve added fragrant chives to my Inari sushi. The vibrant green color makes it even more beautiful, and the taste has become even better! It’s a delightful twist that adds a fresh aroma and a pop of color to your classic Inari.
Main Ingredients- 1 pack Inari sushi making kit (includes rice seasoning and flakes)
- 329g warm cooked rice
- 43g fresh chives
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, prepare all your ingredients. Wash the chives thoroughly under running water and set aside. Ensure your cooked rice is warm and ready.
Step 2
After washing, pat the chives dry with a paper towel to remove excess moisture. Finely mince the chives. This step is crucial for distributing their fragrant flavor evenly throughout the sushi.
Step 3
In a large bowl, combine the warm cooked rice with the seasoning sachet and the flavor powder from your Inari sushi kit. Mix them well into the rice, ensuring an even distribution of flavor.
Step 4
Add the finely minced chives to the rice mixture. Stir gently to incorporate the chives, which will add a beautiful green hue and a wonderful aroma to the rice.
Step 5
Carefully drain the seasoned fried tofu pouches (Inari). Gently press them to remove excess liquid, but be careful not to tear them. You want them moist enough to hold the rice, but not soggy.
Step 6
Mix the seasoned rice and chives thoroughly. Use a rice paddle or spatula to gently fold the ingredients together, ensuring each grain of rice is coated with the seasoning and chives without mashing the rice.
Step 7
Before you start assembling the sushi, put on a pair of disposable gloves and lightly coat them with a drop of sesame oil. This simple trick prevents the rice from sticking to your hands, making it much easier to form the sushi rolls.
Step 8
Take a portion of the seasoned rice mixture, shape it into a compact oval or ball, and carefully stuff it into a prepared fried tofu pouch. Gently press to fill the pouch evenly. Repeat with the remaining rice and tofu to complete your delicious Chives Inari Sushi!
