Here’s a simple and delicious recipe for Green Onion Ramen, where the fragrant green onions meet a spicy broth. It’s perfect for a hangover cure or a quick, satisfying meal!
Essential Ingredients- 1 large green onion (or 2 smaller ones)
- 1 packet of ramen noodles (choose your favorite)
- 550ml water

Step 1
First, gather all the ingredients for the recipe. Wash the green onion thoroughly and slice it into pieces about 1.5cm thick, either chopped or diagonally. If your green onion is thin, using two stalks will give you a richer flavor.

Now, generously add 3 tablespoons of cooking oil to the pot. This step is to heat the oil while preparing the pan.

Add the sliced green onions to the pot and sauté over medium-low heat for about 1 minute. This process allows the fragrant aroma of the green onions to infuse into the oil.

Once the green onions have slightly softened, add 1 tablespoon of chili powder. This is a crucial step for adding spiciness and a vibrant color.

After adding the chili powder, sauté for another 30 seconds. Be careful with the heat to prevent the chili powder from burning and to bring out its delicious aroma.

Now, pour 550ml of water into the pot. You can refer to the water amount indicated on the ramen packet, but feel free to adjust it slightly according to your preference.

Once the water comes to a rolling boil, add the ramen noodles and the soup base from the packet. Stir well to dissolve the soup base.

The cooking time for the noodles can be adjusted to your liking. I prefer a slightly chewy texture, so I usually cook them for about 3 minutes. If you like softer noodles, increase the cooking time accordingly.
