It’s a challenge when children are attending online classes from home and husbands are working remotely, leaving homemakers to prepare three meals a day! Despite the demands, delicious meals and delightful desserts or brunches are essential for the family’s health. Today, I’ve prepared a ‘Tomato Caprese’ as a delightful treat. The key to this dish is the sauce, and I’ve made it with my absolute favorite balsamic glaze! Enjoy this vibrant and flavorful salad.
Ingredients- 1 ripe tomato
- A handful of fresh sprouts
- A portion of mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 ripe avocado
- A drizzle of Gujerat Organic Oro Balsamic Glaze

Step 1
I seem to have misplaced the photos of the sliced tomatoes and avocado! The avocado wasn’t quite ripe, and while I was trying to prepare it, I accidentally cut my finger, hence the missing photos. Slice the tomato and avocado into pieces about 0.5 to 0.7 cm thick, making them easy to eat. Slice the mozzarella cheese into similar-sized pieces.
Step 2
Arrange the sliced tomatoes, mozzarella, and avocado on a plate, alternating them. Tuck a few sprouts in between the tomato slices to add freshness and visual appeal.

While a classic Caprese typically consists of just tomatoes and mozzarella, I’ve elevated this version by adding avocado for a richer, more sophisticated flavor profile.

The fresh texture of the tomatoes and the delightful chewiness of the mozzarella are wonderful. I would have loved to add fresh basil leaves, but since I didn’t have any, I’ve substituted them with young sprouts for a similar fresh taste.

Some people enjoy their Caprese with basil pesto or a salad dressing. However, I chose to drizzle it with Gujerat Organic Oro Balsamic Glaze, and I was truly captivated by the exquisite taste of this delicious balsamic.
