It also makes a great baby side dish on its own. Especially when mixed with white rice, the beets turn it a lovely pink color, which little girls tend to adore! It’s also convenient for outings; just bring this along and mix it with rice.

Main Ingredients

  • 90g Ground Pork
  • 30g Beet
  • 30g Onion
  • 30g Cucumber

Seasoning

  • A pinch of baby soy sauce or low-sodium soy sauce
  • A pinch of sesame oil
  • A pinch of sesame seeds

Cooking Instructions

First, finely mince the onion and cucumber. Because beets are hard, mince them very finely. Mix the minced vegetables with the ground pork. Add a pinch of sesame oil and baby soy sauce (or low-sodium soy sauce), and let it marinate briefly.

Heat a pan over medium heat and add the marinated pork and vegetables. Once the pork starts to cook, reduce the heat to low and stir-fry until most of the moisture has evaporated. This process concentrates the flavors and makes it suitable for storage.

The stir-fry, which weighed about 180g before cooking, will reduce to approximately 132g as the moisture evaporates. Evaporating the moisture results in a deeper, richer flavor.
