Cooking Instructions
Step 1
Let’s start with preparing the rice, which is key to a delicious meal. Rinse the 4 cups of rice thoroughly and soak it in water for 30 minutes before cooking. After soaking, drain the rice well in a sieve to remove excess water.
Step 2
While the rice is soaking, let’s marinate the brisket. Slice 200g of brisket into bite-sized pieces. In a bowl, combine 1 Tbsp soy sauce, 1 Tbsp sesame oil, and 1/2 Tbsp minced garlic for the marinade. Gently mix the brisket with the marinade, ensuring each piece is well coated. This step enhances the tenderness and flavor of the brisket.
Step 3
Now, let’s prepare the radish greens. Since they are already boiled and prepared, the main task is to ensure they are clean. Rinse the 200g of radish greens thoroughly to remove any residual dirt or debris. Trim off any tough stem ends and cut the greens into manageable pieces that will mix well into the rice.
Step 4
We’ll use the electric rice cooker to make this nutritious rice. Add the drained soaked rice to the rice cooker. Then, pour in 3 cups of water for cooking the rice. You might want to adjust the water slightly depending on the type of rice and its moisture content.
Step 5
Arrange the prepared radish greens and marinated brisket evenly over the rice in the rice cooker. Select the ‘Nutrition Rice’ or ‘Multi-grain Rice’ setting on your rice cooker and start the cooking process. The rice cooker will handle the rest!
Step 6
While the rice is cooking, let’s whip up a delicious seasoning sauce. In a bowl, combine 2 Tbsp soup soy sauce, 1 Tbsp soy sauce, 1/2 Tbsp oligosaccharide, 1 Tbsp minced garlic, 2 Tbsp gochugaru, 1 Tbsp toasted sesame seeds, 1 Tbsp sesame oil, 2 Tbsp water, and 2 Tbsp chopped green onions. Whisk everything together until well combined. Feel free to adjust the amount of gochugaru if you prefer it spicier.
Step 7
Your flavorful Brisket and Radish Greens Rice is ready! Once the rice is cooked, gently fluff it with a rice paddle. Be careful not to mash the rice grains; a gentle mixing will make the rice nice and fluffy.
Step 8
Serve the steaming hot rice in bowls. Spoon the prepared seasoning sauce over the rice and mix well before eating. This hearty and nutritious Brisket and Radish Greens Rice is perfect for the whole family. Enjoy your delicious meal!
