- 1/4 Zucchini
- A pinch of Carrot
- A small amount of Glass Noodles (optional)
Marinade Ingredients (for Pork)- 3 Tbsp Soy Sauce
- 1/2 Tbsp Minced Garlic
- 1/2 Tbsp Plum Extract (or syrup)
- A pinch of Black Pepper
- A pinch of Sesame Seeds
- 3 Tbsp Soy Sauce
- 1/2 Tbsp Minced Garlic
- 1/2 Tbsp Plum Extract (or syrup)
- A pinch of Black Pepper
- A pinch of Sesame Seeds
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
Start by preparing the ground pork shoulder. In a bowl, combine the pork with 3 Tbsp soy sauce, 1/2 Tbsp minced garlic, 1/2 Tbsp plum extract, a pinch of black pepper, and a pinch of sesame seeds. Mix well to marinate the pork; letting it sit for about 10 minutes will enhance the flavor. Heat a lightly oiled pan over high heat and stir-fry the marinated pork until about 80% cooked. Be careful not to overcook it, as this can make the meat tough.
Step 2
While the pork is cooking, prepare the vegetables. Finely chop the onion. Dice the zucchini and carrot into similar small pieces. Add a little more oil to the pan and sauté the chopped onion until translucent. Then, add the zucchini and carrot and stir-fry together. Lightly season the vegetables with salt and pepper. The natural sweetness of the vegetables is usually enough, but you can adjust the seasoning to your preference.
Step 3
Add the partially cooked pork to the pan with the sautéed vegetables. Now it’s time to add the stir-fry sauce. Stir in 1 Tbsp gochujang and the remaining 1/2 Tbsp plum extract. Stir-fry quickly until all the ingredients are well combined. Finish by drizzling about two generous drizzles of sesame oil for a glossy finish and nutty aroma. Your delicious stir-fried pork is ready!
Step 4
This step is optional. For an added textural element, you can shallow-fry the glass noodles in a pan with a bit more oil until slightly crispy. This will add a delightful crunch to your dish. Once fried, drain the noodles on paper towels to remove excess oil.
