Carbonara Ramen
Weekend Lunch Made Easy: Delicious Carbonara Ramen
The weekend is here, and after finishing up those lingering chores, it’s already time for a meal! Enjoy a light and satisfying lunch with this creative twist: Carbonara Ramen. This recipe transforms instant ramen into a creamy, flavorful dish perfect for a relaxed weekend.
Ingredients- 2 packs of instant ramen noodles
- 1500ml milk
- 10 frankfurter sausages
- 20g crown daisy (or edible chrysanthemum leaves)
- 1/2 packet of ramen soup powder
- 1 Tbsp red pepper flakes (gochugaru)
- A pinch of toasted sesame seeds
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, prepare your ingredients. Score the frankfurter sausages lightly with a knife; this helps them cook evenly and release more flavor. Wash the crown daisy and chop it into bite-sized pieces, about 2-3 cm long.
Step 2
Pour the 1500ml of milk into a pot and bring it to a gentle boil over medium heat. Once the milk starts to bubble, add the dried vegetable packet from the ramen and the ramen noodles. Stir gently to prevent the noodles from sticking together as they cook.
Step 3
When the ramen noodles are about halfway cooked, stir in the 1/2 packet of ramen soup powder, the sliced sausages, and 1 tablespoon of red pepper flakes. Finally, add the chopped crown daisy and simmer for another minute or two until the sauce thickens slightly and the greens are wilted. The subtle herbal notes of the crown daisy complement the creamy carbonara flavor beautifully. Avoid overcooking the greens.
Step 4
Ladle the finished Carbonara Ramen into serving bowls. Garnish with a pinch of toasted sesame seeds for an extra nutty aroma and visual appeal. Enjoy your delicious, creamy, and satisfying homemade Carbonara Ramen for a perfect weekend lunch!
