Corn Cheese Hot Dogs

While corn cheese is delicious on its own, we’ve elevated it into a hearty snack by adding a savory sausage! This Corn Cheese Hot Dog combines the creamy sweetness of corn, the gooey stretch of melted cheese, and the satisfying bite of a hot dog, all nestled in a soft bun. It’s a perfect treat for kids or an exciting addition to any party spread.
Ingredients (Makes 3 servings)- 3 Hot dog buns
- 3 Sausages (Vienna, frankfurter, or hot dog sticks)
- 150g Corn kernels
- 120g Mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 Tbsp Sugar
- 2-3 Tbsp Mayonnaise
- 2 Tbsp Mustard
- 40g Chopped pickles
- 1/4 Onion
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
Prepare all your ingredients. Gather the hot dog buns, onion, pickles, sausages, corn kernels, mozzarella cheese, and sugar.

Score the sausages lightly with a knife. Boil them in water for a few minutes to remove any impurities and ensure they’re cooked through. (You can use Vienna sausages, frankfurters, or pre-cooked hot dog sticks).

For extra flavor and a nice sear, lightly pan-fry the boiled sausages in a little oil until golden brown. This step is optional.

Lightly butter or oil a pan over medium-low heat. Toast the insides of the hot dog buns until they are lightly golden and slightly crisp. This adds a lovely texture.

Let’s make the spread for the bun. In a small bowl, combine the mustard and finely chopped pickles. Mix them well until evenly combined.

Now, let’s prepare the delicious corn cheese filling. Get your mozzarella cheese, corn kernels, thinly sliced onion, and sugar ready.

Finely slice the onion into thin slivers. This will help it blend nicely into the corn cheese mixture.
