Sandwich Ingredients- 4 slices of bread (you can substitute with whole wheat or other bread of your choice)
- 2 kiwis (peeled and thinly sliced)
- 2 tangerines (peeled and segments separated)
- 200ml heavy cream (chilled)
- 50g cream cheese (softened at room temperature for about 30 minutes)
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
In a chilled bowl, whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form. Add the softened cream cheese to the whipped cream and whip again until smooth and well combined, creating a luscious cream filling.
Step 2
Carefully trim the crusts off all four slices of bread. This will give your sandwiches a neat, refined appearance.
Step 3
Spread the cream filling evenly over one side of each slice of bread. Use a spatula or spoon to ensure a smooth, consistent layer, avoiding overly thick application.
Step 4
Arrange the prepared fruits attractively on top of the cream-covered bread. Place the sliced kiwis lengthwise in the center of one slice, and artfully place the tangerine segments on either side, alternating them. Feel free to experiment with other fruits like green grapes, strawberries, or mangoes!
Step 5
Gently cover the fruits with a bit more cream filling, then place another slice of bread on top. Wrap the sandwiches tightly in plastic wrap to secure them, and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow them to set. Once firm, slice each sandwich diagonally twice to create four perfect, bite-sized portions. This beautiful fruit sandwich is ready to elevate your next gathering!
