Main Ingredients

  • 1 pack Cheongpomuk (mung bean jelly)
  • 1 cup mixed carrots and chives
  • 1 tsp salt

Cooking Instructions

Step 1

Prepare one pack of cheongpomuk. Wash and finely chop the carrots and chives. If you have separate amounts for carrots and chives, ensure they total about 1 cup when combined.

Step 1

Step 2

Thinly slice the cheongpomuk into about 0.5 cm thick strips. Cut the carrots into similarly thin julienne strips. Chop the chives into 3-4 cm lengths. In a mixing bowl, combine the sliced cheongpomuk, julienned carrots, and chopped chives. Add 1 tsp of salt, 1 Tbsp of sugar, 2 Tbsp of sesame oil, 2 Tbsp of toasted sesame seeds, and 1/2 tsp of minced garlic.

Step 2

Step 3

Gently mix all the ingredients with your hands until well combined and coated with the seasoning. Be careful not to mash the cheongpomuk. Taste and adjust the seasoning if needed – add more salt if it’s not salty enough, or a bit more sugar if you prefer it sweeter. Cheongpomuk can lose its flavor over time, so it’s best to mix it just before serving.

Step 3

Step 4

Transfer the mixed cheongpomuk salad to a serving dish. Garnish with a sprinkle of extra sesame seeds for a beautiful finish. Enjoy this incredibly easy and delicious dish! Isn’t it simple? ^^
