- 1 tsp minced garlic
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, let’s boil the clams. Add clams to a pot of boiling water. Stir them in one direction over medium-high heat for about 4-5 minutes until they open. (Tip: You can pre-soak the clams to purge any sand. To do this, soak clams in water with a little salt and a splash of vinegar, cover with a black plastic bag, and leave for 20-30 minutes in a dark place.)
Step 2
Once boiled, rinse the clams under cold running water to cool them down. After rinsing, drain them thoroughly. Gently extract the clam meat from the shells using a spoon or your fingers. Make sure to remove all the shells for easier eating.
Step 3
In a serving bowl, place the warm rice. Generously top the rice with the fresh bean sprouts, followed by the prepared clam meat. Sprinkle a pinch of toasted sesame seeds over everything for a finishing touch.
Step 4
Serve your delicious Clam and Vegetable Bibimbap with the prepared spicy and sweet gochujang sauce and a drizzle of sesame oil. Adding a little extra sesame oil just before mixing enhances the aroma and flavor.
