Main Ingredients

  • 2 cups Rice (1 cup = 200ml measuring cup)
  • 1 small Onion
  • 2 Eggplants
  • 70g Sausage

Seasoning

  • 3 Tbsp Oyster Sauce

First, wash 2 cups of rice thoroughly. (You can mix in a small amount of lentils if you like.)

Finely mince the onion. Wash the eggplants, remove the stems, cut them in half, and then slice them diagonally into about 1cm thick pieces.

Add a generous amount of cooking oil to the rice cooker pot and stir-fry the minced onion until it becomes translucent. Sautéing the onion brings out its sweetness, making the dish tastier.

Once the onion is translucent, add 3 tablespoons of oyster sauce directly to the pan and stir-fry briefly to release its aroma. Then, combine and stir-fry it with the onion. This will enhance the unique flavor of the oyster sauce.

Add the sliced eggplant and stir-fry together. The eggplant will absorb the oil and become tender.

Add water to the rice cooker to the appropriate level for cooking rice. The water level should reach approximately the back of your hand. If you prefer firmer rice, reduce the amount of water slightly compared to usual.
