Ingredients- 150g Cocktail Shrimp (thawed and patted dry)
- 1 pinch Black Pepper
- 2 Tbsp Minced Garlic
- 1 Green Chili Pepper (finely chopped, seeds removed)
- 50g Fresh Cilantro (chopped)
- 3 Tbsp Olive Oil
- 1 pinch Salt
- 2 Tbsp Lime Juice
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
After thawing the cocktail shrimp, pat them completely dry with paper towels. Season them with a pinch of black pepper. This step helps to eliminate any fishy odor and enhance their flavor.
Step 2
Prepare your garlic by mincing it fresh for the best aroma. If you prefer, you can use pre-minced garlic.
Step 3
Finely chop the green chili pepper. For a milder heat, remove the seeds before chopping. Adjust the amount to your spice preference.
Step 4
Wash the fresh cilantro thoroughly and pat it dry. Chop it into bite-sized pieces, separating the leaves and tender stems. It’s best to chop it coarsely for a more rustic texture.
Step 5
Heat the olive oil in a frying pan over medium-low heat. Add the minced garlic and chopped green chili pepper. Sauté until fragrant, being careful not to burn the garlic. This step builds the aromatic base for the dish.
Step 6
Once the garlic and chili are fragrant, increase the heat to medium and add the seasoned shrimp. Stir-fry quickly until the shrimp turn pink and are cooked through.
Step 7
When the shrimp are cooked, reduce the heat slightly. Stir in the lime juice and the chopped cilantro. Toss gently to combine, allowing the fresh cilantro to wilt slightly and release its aroma. Season with salt to taste. Your delicious Cilantro Shrimp Stir-fry is ready to serve!
