Ingredients- 4 slices of white bread (adjust quantity as needed)
- 2 slices of cheddar cheese
- 2 slices of sandwich ham
- Strawberry jam (or your favorite jam) to taste
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
Using a knife, carefully trim off the crusts from all four sides of each slice of white bread, about a 0.5cm border. This ensures a neat roll and a softer texture when eaten.
Step 2
Gently flatten each slice of bread using a rolling pin or a smooth, cylindrical object like an empty bottle. Roll it back and forth evenly until it becomes thinner. This step makes it easier to form a tight roll and results in a more enjoyable sandwich. Be careful not to roll it too thin, or the bread might tear.
Step 3
Spread your desired amount of strawberry jam evenly over one side of the flattened bread slice. Place a slice of ham on top of the jam, followed by a slice of cheddar cheese. Starting from one edge, roll the bread up tightly, similar to how you would roll sushi.
Step 4
Once rolled, wrap each sandwich tightly in plastic wrap. This helps to hold its shape. Refrigerate for about 10 minutes to allow the rolls to firm up, making them easier to slice.
