Stew Ingredients- 1/9 block Firm Tofu (approx. 40-50g)
- 1/2 Red Chili Pepper
- 1 stalk Green Onion
- 50g Oysters
- 1 clove Garlic
Seasoning- 1 tsp Fermented Shrimp Paste
- Pinch of Salt
- 1 tsp Fermented Shrimp Paste
- Pinch of Salt
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
Cut the firm tofu into bite-sized pieces, approximately 3cm x 2cm x 1cm. Drain any excess water and lightly season with a pinch of salt for enhanced flavor.
Step 2
Thinly slice the red chili pepper for a touch of color and chop the green onion into roughly 3cm lengths. For the chili pepper, remove the seeds before slicing into 3cm lengths and about 0.5cm thickness for a pleasant texture and appearance.
Step 3
Gently wash the fresh oysters in lightly salted water, then rinse thoroughly with clean water and drain. Mince the garlic finely after crushing it with the side of a knife. Finely chop the fermented shrimp paste (both the paste and any solid bits) to ensure the broth is well-seasoned.
Step 4
In a pot, add 2 cups (approx. 400ml) of water and bring to a boil over high heat. Once boiling, add the prepared tofu. Then, add the oysters, red chili pepper, and green onion in sequence. Finally, stir in the minced garlic and fermented shrimp paste. Season with salt to your taste. Let it simmer for a moment until all ingredients are cooked through.
