Main Ingredients

  • 6 Morning Buns (Brioche-style rolls)
  • Generous amount of Mozzarella Cheese
  • 1/4 Carrot
  • 1/4 Onion
  • 1/2 King Oyster Mushroom (or mushroom of your choice)
  • 3-4 Vienna Sausages
  • Store-bought Pizza Sauce (or Spaghetti Sauce)

Seasoning & Toppings

  • 1 Tbsp Mayonnaise (level)
  • 1/2 Tbsp Ketchup
  • Parsley Flakes, to taste (optional)

Cooking Instructions

Step 1

First, finely chop the vegetables and sausages that will become the pizza filling. Wash and peel (if necessary) the carrots, onions, and mushrooms, then dice them into approximately 0.5cm pieces. Slice the Vienna sausages into similar-sized pieces. (Tip: If your kids love them, feel free to add bell peppers, green peppers, or olives! For a visually appealing presentation, set aside a few sausage slices to insert at the end.)

Step 1

Step 2

In a bowl, combine the finely chopped carrots, onions, mushrooms, and Vienna sausages. Add 1 tablespoon of mayonnaise and 1/2 tablespoon of ketchup, then mix well. (Tip: If you prefer to highlight the natural flavors of the ingredients, you can skip the mixing step and use them as they are. I seasoned them slightly for extra flavor.)

Step 2

Step 3

Prepare the star of today’s recipe: soft and fluffy morning bread. You’ll need 6 rolls.

Step 3

Step 4

Carefully make a cut on the top of each morning bun to create an opening. You can also scoop out the inside, but I found it easier to gently press down and create an inner space. This method helps maintain the bread’s shape while allowing space for the filling.

Step 4

Step 5

Using a spoon or a brush, spread the pizza sauce evenly inside the opening you made in the bread. If you don’t have pizza sauce, spaghetti sauce or ketchup can also be used to make a delicious pizza sauce.

Step 5

Step 6

Now, generously fill the openings in the morning buns with the prepared filling mixture. Filling them up to the brim will ensure a richer texture when you take a bite.

Step 6

Step 7

Cover the filled morning buns generously with mozzarella cheese, like a cheesy blanket. The melted cheese will bind all the ingredients together, making it even more delicious. Finally, sprinkle some parsley flakes for a touch of color, and artfully insert a few reserved Vienna sausage slices into the cheese for a cute mini pizza look. (Tip: You can also drizzle some ketchup on top for decoration!)

Step 7

Step 8

Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (350°F) for 10 to 15 minutes, or until golden brown and the cheese is bubbly. Baking times may vary slightly depending on your oven, so keep an eye on them and adjust as needed. (Tip: If you don’t have an oven, you can microwave them for about 3 minutes until the cheese is melted and enjoy these delightful mini pizzas.)
