Spicy Corn Cheese Stir-fried Noodles Recipe from ‘Seojin’s Kitchen’
This is the recipe for the spicy noodles featured in the TV show ‘Seojin’s Kitchen’, also known as Corn Cheese Buldak Bokkeummyeon. Enjoy a delicious twist on instant spicy noodles!
Ingredients- 1 pack of commercial Buldak Bokkeummyeon noodles
- 2 cups of water (approx. 400ml)
- 4 Tbsp canned corn
- 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese (approx. 50g)
- 2 Tbsp mayonnaise
- 0.5 Tbsp sugar
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, measure out about 1/2 cup (approx. 50g) of shredded mozzarella cheese and set it aside. This will be sprinkled on top of the noodles later.
Step 2
Prepare 4 tablespoons of canned corn. Drain it thoroughly in a sieve to remove excess water. Removing the water well will prevent the corn from clumping and add a richer flavor.
Step 3
Add 2 tablespoons of mayonnaise to the drained canned corn and mix well. The mayonnaise will coat the corn kernels, making them softer and more flavorful.
Step 4
Next, add 0.5 tablespoon of sugar to the corn and mayonnaise mixture and stir everything together thoroughly. The added sweetness will help balance the spiciness of the Buldak sauce, creating a more harmonious taste.
Step 5
Now it’s time to cook the noodles. Pour 2 cups (approx. 400ml) of water into a pot and bring it to a rolling boil. Once the water is boiling, add only the noodles from the Buldak Bokkeummyeon pack and cook for approximately 3 minutes. Be careful not to overcook the noodles, as they will lose their chewy texture. Precise timing is key!
Step 6
After the noodles have cooked for about 3 minutes, carefully drain the remaining water from the pot. You can also use a colander to drain the noodles.
Step 7
Now, add the signature spicy sauce from the Buldak Bokkeummyeon pack and mix it well with the noodles. Ensure the sauce is evenly distributed throughout the noodles for the best flavor.
Step 8
Transfer the well-mixed Buldak Bokkeummyeon noodles to a nice serving bowl. Generously sprinkle the prepared shredded mozzarella cheese over the top.

On top of the melted cheese, generously spoon the sweet and savory canned corn mixture that you prepared earlier. This will add a lovely color and enhance the overall richness of the dish.
Step 10
Place the prepared noodles in a microwave and cook for about 1 minute and 30 seconds. Microwave just long enough for the cheese to melt into a gooey, delicious layer. Adjust the cooking time based on your microwave’s power.
Step 11
After microwaving, take the noodles out and sprinkle the included flakes (dried vegetables, sesame seeds, etc.) from the Buldak Bokkeummyeon pack on top. Your ‘Seojin’s Kitchen Style Corn Cheese Buldak Bokkeummyeon’ is now complete! Enjoy your delicious meal!
